Kathleen Hesketh
Kathleen is a freelance writer who began life as an Interior Designer. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design with an emphasis in English in 1991 and went on to pursue a career designing homes in Cincinnati, Ohio. Upon moving to New England, she continued this work as a residential consultant. Inspired by the depth of colonial history in New England, she specialized primarily in Traditional home interiors.
Also working as a writer, she has written and contributed newsletter articles, written and presented planned presentations to children on art history, and has even written scripts for large scale mystery activities. She has continued to develop writing skills by taking creative writing courses and working on a fiction novel.
Her work in these areas has been augmented by work with animals. She has had extensive experience with dogs, and Golden Retrievers in particular. She supports the work of Rescue organizations and champions the cause of responsible pure breed dog breeding. Her work with dogs has been in the field of obedience, and she uses these tactics and techniques in work with the other animals she owns.
